Job Summary:

The Electromechanical Technician is responsible for the proper receipt, teardown, inspection, part/material requisition, assembly, and test of aircraft components in accordance with approved technical data to meet established business objectives. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure all work is performed compliantly and of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform work assignments as determined by the shop management.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved technical data, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Use appropriate inspection techniques and calibrated equipment for the unit/part being accomplished.
  • Utilize the proper test equipment or suitable alternative and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Record information and accomplish the work assignment in compliance with the Inspection Procedures Manual and Quality Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist Department Manager and Engineers with new capability development of repairs received.
  • Maintain open two-way communication with Manager and team members, sharing both good and bad news.
  • Provide timely quotes of units, maintaining gate 1 three days and gate 3 three days.
  • Maintain personal and shop-calibrated tools in satisfactory operational condition.
  • Comply with all safety directives and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in industry with mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • A&P License (preferred).
  • 2 years of aviation electromechanical experience.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be multi-task/project-oriented with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced industry, meeting established timelines.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, listening, and interpersonal skills to interact with all functional levels of internal contacts.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
Physical Requirements:
  • May be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, and handle objects.
  • Occasionally required to push/pull, stack, reach above shoulder level, or carry light-weight materials.
  • May occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 30lbs.
