We are a 13-bed ICU with a 4-bed surgical SICU at a Level 3 Trauma Hospital. Our unit is dedicated to innovation and process improvement, striving for the best patient outcomes. We prioritize workplace satisfaction and empower staff to make decisions that impact the unit and patient care, including scheduling, staffing, workflow, infection prevention, and education.
Our patient population includes high-acuity patients requiring intensive monitoring and critical thinking. We seek experienced and new RNs who can contribute to our exceptional team dynamic and culture. We also welcome RNs looking to increase their clinical knowledge and skills to improve health, instill humanity, and inspire hope for our patients.

Scope of WorkThe RN, under the ANA scope of practice, utilizes the nursing process to provide professional care, incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The RN provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader, according to Corewell Health policies and procedures. We recognize the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes.

- Associates in Nursing Required
- Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years if new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
- AHA, ARC, or Canadian Heart and Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- NRP within 6 months of hire/transfer
- EFM Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification within 1 year
- Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
