Overview:
Hornblower - City Experiences is in search of a dedicated Training Coordinator for our Food and Beverage division.

Mission:

Role Responsibilities:
The Training Coordinator will oversee the initial and ongoing training programs for all new and existing staff. Key responsibilities include:
  • Scheduling and coordinating training sessions to ensure staff are equipped to deliver exceptional service to approximately 30 guests.
  • Engaging with new hires to facilitate onboarding, address inquiries, and resolve any challenges.
  • Developing training materials, including quizzes and assessments for both new and current staff.
  • Acting as a supervisor during training cruises to support new staff and uphold training standards.
  • Fostering a motivating environment throughout the training process.
  • Encouraging teamwork among staff members.

Cruise Management:
In this role, you will also:
  • Assist in managing front-of-house staff, focusing on recruitment, training, coaching, and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with alcohol service guidelines to maintain guest safety.
  • Uphold health department sanitation standards to meet the company's strict hygiene requirements.
  • Identify staff members who may benefit from additional training and development.
  • Recommend programs that enhance service quality and product standards.

Ongoing Training:
The successful candidate will:
  • Maintain accurate employee and training records.
  • Create a comprehensive timeline for new hires before their training begins.
  • Design an engaging training agenda for new employees.
  • Document daily progress of new hires and follow up with front-of-house staff to ensure continuous training.

Qualifications:
The ideal Training Coordinator will:
  • Be organized and demonstrate a personal interest in staff development.
  • Possess strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
