Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating and executing goals, policies, and procedures related to financial management, budgeting, accounting, and payroll.
  • Oversee and contribute to the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
  • Reconcile income and collaborate with property managers to resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage operational tasks such as posting deposits.
  • Prepare and process bills for payment, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Handle periodic recurring payments, including owner distributions, loan payments, and property tax obligations.
  • Maintain daily cash management for all accounts within your portfolio.
  • Work with property managers to develop financial budgets for upcoming periods.
  • Conduct internal audits to review accounting and administrative controls.
  • Establish control systems for new financial software and enhance existing procedures.
  • Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, costs, operating expenses, and insurance records.
  • Direct and engage in cost analyses and rate studies.
  • Communicate with clients regarding inquiries about their financial reports.
  • Collaborate with property owners and their accountants on year-end tax returns by providing necessary information.
  • Authorize ACH and wire transactions.
  • Post rent payments received at the corporate office.
  • Input ACH bank details into the system.
  • Assist in generating management fee invoices and ensure accurate billing and recoupment monthly.
  • Reconcile credit card statements for all current cardholders and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Support rent concession matching between payroll and financial management systems.
  • Conduct bank statement reconciliations for all trust accounts.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Supervisory Role:

This position does not entail direct supervisory responsibilities.
