Radiology Technologist for Correctional Health Services in NYC

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Correctional Health Services. As a member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services to patients in a fast-paced correctional setting.
Responsibilities- Exam Preparation and Scheduling: Review exam orders, consult with radiologists, schedule patients, and arrange for transportation as needed.
- Patient Care and Safety: Prepare patients for radiological procedures, ensure proper protection from infectious diseases and materials, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Radiographic Imaging: Perform general diagnostic imaging and routine examinations using CT and Angiography equipment.
- Maintenance and Quality Control: Assist in performing daily checks of radiographic equipment, maintain adequate supplies, and adhere to radiation safety regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Enter data into the RIS system, maintain logs and documents as required, and report any malfunctions or incidents.
- A current valid license as a General Radiological Technologist issued by the State of New York is required.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred.
- A current membership with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is also required.
