Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a comfortable, safe, and clean environment for patients.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and record them in the electronic health record.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene of patients.
- Collect samples of blood and/or urine for testing.
- Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications via the ordered route.
- Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments according to policy.
- Participate in relevant patient teaching.
- Record all care information concisely, accurately, completely, and promptly in the appropriate format.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
- Demonstrated clinical competence and skills in problem-solving, communication, priority-setting, and interpersonal relationships.
- Basic Life Support Certification required; ACLS encouraged.
