Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform ultrasound procedures and provide exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Position patients and select technical factors and equipment to obtain high-quality scans.
  • Operate portable ultrasound equipment to perform procedures as requested throughout the hospital.
  • Assist physicians with recommendations for obtaining optimal studies by suggesting technical factors for procedures.
  • Deliver patient care and maintain department standards of continued quality improvement.
  • Prepare ultrasound rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Utilize appropriate phone etiquette and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Transport patients when indicated to meet customer needs.
  • Document department records, including inventories of supplies and patient statistics.
Requirements:
  • ARDMS Registry eligible.
  • ARDMS Registry to be successfully completed within the first year of employment.
  • High degree of technical knowledge to perform specialized U/S studies with minimal assistance from Radiologists.
  • Able to make diagnostic judgments when scanning and present them to the Radiologist for interpretation.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be able to adjust to flexible hours, work odd hours, and respond to emergency call-backs. They will also be able to stand for long periods, view small CRT screens, and perform lifting activities related to patients.
