Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist Level II to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and select technical factors and equipment to obtain optimal quality scans.
  • Operate portable ultrasound equipment to perform procedures in various hospital settings.
  • Assist radiologists with recommendations for optimal studies and provide pertinent patient history for each procedure.
  • Maintain positive guest relations and ensure patient safety at all times.
  • Comply with hospital safety standards and maintain annual CPR certification.
Requirements
  • ARDMS Registry with 2-3 years of experience in ultrasound in a hospital setting.
  • Possess high degree of technical knowledge to perform specialized U/S studies with minimal assistance.
  • Able to make diagnostic judgments and present them to radiologists for interpretation.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to take call on a rotational basis and adjust to flexible hours with minimal notice.
  • Ability to work odd hours, including late shifts and on-call rotations.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform lifting activities related to patients.
