Overview of the Sales Solutions Architecture Team:

The Sales Solutions Architects collaborate closely with Solutions Specialists (Sales Representatives) and act as their technical allies throughout the sales process. Our mission is to assist clients in navigating their cloud strategies by showcasing our comprehensive Cloud Reliability Platform. We adopt a consultative methodology during our discovery and evaluation stages, resulting in solutions that prioritize reliability, performance, and security, all built on our Managed Cloud Portfolio. As a vital member of the Solutions Architecture team, you will design systems tailored to their intended infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Solutions Architect, your duties will include:
  • Delivering pre-sales technical assistance to the Go-To-Market (GTM) Team to enhance revenue and cloud adoption.
  • Facilitating comprehensive technical discovery and assessment workshops to pinpoint challenges and gather both business and technical requirements, including Well-Architected Reviews and Migration Readiness Assessments.
  • Designing client solutions that align with client needs using a well-architected framework methodology.
  • Clearly articulating proposed architectures during the pre-sales phase for early validation and feedback from internal teams responsible for implementation and ongoing support.
  • Acting as a technology advocate, educating prospects and clients on the cloud solutions that best fit their business and technical needs.
  • Collaborating with Product Marketing to provide insights for enhancing product quality and capabilities based on field engagement feedback.
  • Assisting in the creation of technical documentation (e.g., Statements of Work, High-Level Designs) and contributing to the development of sales personnel through formal training.
  • Generating cost and labor estimates and Statements of Work for prospective projects.
  • Providing thought leadership by participating in industry events such as trade shows and panels, as well as publishing articles, white papers, and engaging in case studies.
Desired Technical Skills:
  • Relevant industry certification required: Google Professional Cloud Architect.
  • In-depth knowledge of major Public Cloud Platforms: Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS.
  • Familiarity with containerization and virtualization technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Puppet, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and data protection principles.
  • Awareness of regulatory compliance frameworks including PCI, HIPAA, and GDPR.
  • Understanding of both relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, NoSQL).
  • Expertise in networking, computing, storage, and operating system fundamentals.

  • A BA/BS degree with 6+ years of experience, or an MS degree with 4+ years of experience, or a Ph.D. with one year of experience, or 10 years of overall experience without a degree.

  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High comfort level in communicating effectively across various internal teams.
  • Ability to present at public events to large audiences is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
