Unit Overview
Our facility features twenty-five operating rooms that cater to a wide range of surgical specialties, including Trauma and Open-Heart Surgery Programs. We provide both elective and emergency surgical services around the clock, every day of the week. This role involves rotating call, holiday, and weekend responsibilities.

Role Responsibilities
The Surgical Technologist II is tasked with the preparation and maintenance of the surgical environment, ensuring the proper handling of instruments during procedures, and upholding the sterile field. This role requires the ability to assess changing conditions during surgeries and respond appropriately. A solid understanding of surgical procedures and protocols is essential, and the individual may also serve as a mentor when necessary.

Qualifications
- High school diploma is required.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training is necessary; not all programs require an associate degree. Alternatively, one year of relevant experience is acceptable.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred (clinical rotations are considered valid experience).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Work Environment
This position is full-time, with variable hours and days, including potential weekend shifts.
