Our 32-bed surgical unit is dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients requiring post-operative care. You will work closely with surgeons and surgical residents to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes. Our team fosters a collaborative and supportive environment, with a strong focus on teamwork, open communication, and professional autonomy.

Dearborn Hospital is a major teaching and research hospital recognized for clinical excellence and innovation in various fields, including orthopedics, neurosciences, women's health, heart & vascular, and cancer care. As a Level II trauma center, we provide comprehensive care to patients in need.

Scope of Work

The RN will utilize the nursing process to provide professional nursing care, incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients. You will work under the direction of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures, and recognize the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Associates in Nursing Required
  • Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
  • Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required upon hire
  • Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
