Position Overview:

A reputable organization is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Physical Therapist to work within a school environment. As a School-Based Physical Therapist, your role will involve working closely with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver physical therapy services tailored to the unique needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform evaluations and assessments to identify students' therapy requirements and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students in alignment with their established goals and objectives.
  • Implement therapeutic strategies to improve students' physical abilities and mobility.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to incorporate therapy objectives into the students' daily activities.
  • Track student progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress reports, and necessary documentation.
  • Engage in collaborative team meetings and contribute to the development of students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and therapy recommendations.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in the field of physical therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Experience with pediatric populations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the special education process is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
