Position Overview:

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Physical Therapist to fulfill a vital role in a school-based setting. As a Physical Therapist focused on educational environments, you will work closely with students, educators, families, and other professionals to deliver essential physical therapy services tailored to the unique needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify students' therapy requirements and formulate individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver direct therapy interventions to students, aligning with their specific goals and objectives.
  • Implement therapeutic strategies aimed at improving students' physical abilities and mobility.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to ensure therapy objectives are integrated into the students' learning environment.
  • Track and evaluate student progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and other relevant paperwork.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and therapy recommendations.
  • Stay updated on the latest best practices and advancements in the field of physical therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Experience with pediatric populations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the special education process is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
