The Information Security GRC Analyst I plays a vital role in assisting with the evaluation and analysis of information security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PSECU's data. This individual aids in maintaining secure network access and contributes to the implementation and documentation of protective measures against unauthorized modifications, destruction, or disclosure.

For the Information Security GRC Analyst II, the responsibilities extend to a comprehensive analysis and assessment of information security controls, ensuring robust network and cloud security access. This role also involves the implementation and documentation of strategies to safeguard the network from accidental or unauthorized alterations, destruction, or exposure.

Key Responsibilities for Level I:
  • Assist in ensuring resource owners/users are informed about security policies and standards.
  • Research and address internal and external audit findings.
  • Support the protection of the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of network resources and data.
  • Review audit trails, system logs, and other monitoring data to identify incidents and assist in investigations.
  • Analyze operation logs and event console activity to determine the causes of security-related events.
  • Conduct due diligence to ensure third-party compliance with IT requirements before establishing business relationships.
  • Assist in developing security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Help maintain a systematic approach to managing PSECU's information security risks and facilitate risk assessments.
  • Engage in the system development life cycle and system acquisition initiatives.
  • Participate in vulnerability assessments, generate reports, and verify remediation actions.
  • Assist with periodic user appropriateness and high-risk privilege reviews with other departments.
Key Responsibilities for Level II:
  • Support the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure the protection of the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of network resources and data.
  • Review audit trails, system logs, and monitoring data to ensure compliance with policies and audit requirements.
  • Analyze SIEM, operation logs, and event console activity to identify security-related events.
  • Engage in vulnerability assessments, generate reports, and oversee remediation efforts.
  • Participate in monitoring and testing of IT compliance controls to ensure adherence to PSECU policies and industry standards.
  • Coordinate periodic user access reviews with other departments and assess user activity appropriateness.
  • Conduct control testing and assessments to ensure effective IT processes and controls.
  • Coordinate IT self-assessment compliance reviews based on regulatory and internal policy requirements.
  • Conduct due diligence to ensure third-party compliance with IT requirements before establishing business relationships.
  • Participate in incident response investigations using PSECU's Incident Management procedures.
Minimum/Preferred Experience and Education for Level I:

Minimum Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.

Entry-level to two years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Auditing, Risk Management, Information Assurance, or related fields.

Or any equivalent combination of experience and education.

Preferred Experience:

Certification in the field of expertise is preferred, such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

Minimum/Preferred Experience and Education for Level II:

Minimum Experience:

Two to four years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Auditing, Risk Management, Information Assurance, or related fields.

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.

Or any equivalent combination of experience and education.

Preferred Experience:
