Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Edward Jones is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business process improvement and IT project management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Business Process Reengineering (BPR) to assess existing business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to gather business requirements and develop functional and system requirements documentation.
  • Document business process requirements and process diagram flows, and review business policy and procedure documentation.
  • Engage as a liaison between business partners and IT staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collect, analyze, and document business requirements, business rules, processes, and legislation to generate functional and system requirements documentation.
  • Plan and coordinate overall testing efforts, including test plan creation and execution of test scenarios for system integration testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Orchestrate coordination and execution of Training Plan, including development of training materials, quick reference guides, and standard operating procedures manuals.
  • Use specialized software, such as Team Foundation Server, for creation and management of system application documentation, tracking system changes, and tracking reported bugs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Commonwealth information technology policies and EBR-DC guidelines, security, and related standards.
  • Analyze legislation or other business documentation to determine necessary IT system or business process changes.
  • Escalate issues and potential project risks to appropriate management, including compliance risks or limitations of available information technology services risks impacting development completion or impacts to schedules.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on business process improvement and IT project management.
  • 10 years of experience developing business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • 7 years of experience developing Requirements Traceability Matrix.
  • 7 years of experience developing Training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) materials.
  • 7 years of experience working to facilitate collaboration across the full range of executive, business, and technical resources.
  • 7 years of experience with testing efforts, including test plan, test scenarios for SIT and UAT, and organizing users to facilitate effective tests.
  • 7 years of experience working on state government projects/assignments.
  • Highly desired: 4-year college degree or equivalent, Business Analyst Certification, experience with Agile methodology, and experience with Microsoft Visio and Project software and Team Foundation server (Dev Ops version).
