Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly effective middle school science teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to academic excellence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing instruction aligned to national and state content standards. They will also be expected to communicate specific learning objectives to students, link lesson content to students' prior knowledge, and capture student attention through active involvement.

- Administer student assessments and utilize data to identify areas of growth.
- Establish clear content and language objectives for all lessons.
- Engage in continuous and sustained reflection on teaching practices and leadership behaviors.
- Develop strong and sustained relationships with parents and members of the community.
- Plan and collaborate with colleagues to reach shared goals and objectives.
- Foster a motivating, supportive, learning-centered culture of excellence in a well-structured and managed classroom.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution and have a current middle grades certification, 6-8 Science through the State of Tennessee.
They will also be a self-starter interested in working in a fast-paced, startup environment that requires flexible roles. A high level of personal integrity and professionalism is essential, as is an unwavering commitment to high academic achievement and high expectations of all students.
The successful candidate will also have a capacity to motivate and lead in order to yield the highest academic performance possible from all students, as well as a team-oriented approach and the ability to effectively communicate.
