Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hematopathology Specialist to join our team at Children's Mercy Hospital (MO). As a key member of our Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical supervision of lab services, including flow cytometry, clinical laboratory coagulation, hematology, and transfusion medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision of lab services, including flow cytometry, clinical laboratory coagulation, hematology, and transfusion medicine.
  • Evaluate bone marrow aspirate/biopsy/peripheral smears as needed.
  • Collaborate with various clinical sections and research laboratories to advance medical knowledge and improve patient care.
  • Contribute to educational and scholarly activities in the Department of Pathology.
  • Participate in academic and research activities, including training and educational programs in pediatric specialties.
Requirements
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology.
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology in Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology or board-eligible in these areas.
  • Eligible for an active, unrestricted Missouri and Kansas medical license.
