The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Hematopathologist to contribute to our team of experts. As a Hematopathologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders and cancers.

Our department is experiencing rapid growth and has established a subspecialization practice model, performing over 5 million tests and accessioning over 45,000 surgical pathology cases annually with a large case variety. Our Hematopathology service supports a robust Bone Marrow Transplant and Hematology service with over 3,500 Bone Marrow and 6,000 Flow Cytometry cases per year.

The successful candidate should possess strong diagnostic skills with subspecialty training or experience in Hematopathology. In addition to participating in diagnostic sign out of 1 or 2 subspecialty areas, the candidate will be expected to have a strong commitment to education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows, and develop research projects reflective of his/her own interests.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD, MD/Ph.D., DO or equivalent
  • Board certified/board eligible in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology
  • Eligibility for licensure in Kansas and Missouri

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fellowship training in Hematopathology
