We are looking for a Failure Analysis Engineer to join our team in Austin, Texas. This position requires a strong background in metallurgy and materials science, with at least 15 years of experience in failure analysis consulting services. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. degree in metallurgy or materials engineering, excellent communication and project management skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:
  • This position involves analyzing failed or damaged metal components, developing reports to provide findings and recommendations, and managing metallurgical laboratory projects through coordination of work scopes and interacting with lab technicians.
  • The successful candidate will be based in SIA's Material Science Center in Austin, Texas, and will have opportunities for advancement to include management responsibilities.
Salary:

$90,000 - $120,000 per year
