Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a Professor of Rheumatology and Autoimmunity at the University of California, San Diego. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research and a proven track record of publishing in high-impact journals.

Responsibilities

The appointed Professor will be responsible for leading research in the area of rheumatology and autoimmunity, with a focus on inflammation. They will also be expected to teach and mentor students, as well as contribute to the development of the department.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a MD or equivalent, MD/PhD, or PhD with an emphasis relevant to Rheumatology, Autoimmunity, and Inflammation. They must also have 5+ years of a track record of clinical, translational and/or basic research, with an independent extramurally-funded research program (NIH R01 or similar) and 5+ years of research in high impact journals with 1+ grants and/or publications in rheumatic diseases.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with national recognition in research are preferred.
