Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team in Charlottesville, VA. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing point of entry for all specimens coming into the laboratory, supporting technical areas, and ensuring accurate registration and test data entry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides point of entry for all specimens coming into the laboratory
  • Supports technical areas of the laboratory
  • Lables, processes, and distributes patient specimens for testing
  • Responsible for registration and test data entry
  • Monitors supply levels in specimen processing area
  • Operates and maintains laboratory equipment
  • Responsible for both internal and external customer inquiry and problem resolution
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Phlebotomy Program or Course completion (in lieu of 1 year experience)
