Key Responsibilities
  • Prescreen self-pay patients to determine eligibility for coverage
  • Provide education on the cost of care and assist consumers in planning and managing their financial responsibility
  • Act as a liaison between health services and consumers to facilitate communication and resolve issues
  • Collaborate with management to identify and address customer service and process improvement opportunities
  • Stay up-to-date on HIPAA and EMTALA regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to consumers
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in Patient Access or customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Basic medical coding knowledge and understanding of insurance billing and denials

This role requires travel, so you must be comfortable with varying weather and road conditions. You will be exposed to a normal office environment and will need to sit for most of the workday. Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs may be required.
