Salary: $20.76 per hour (FLSA overtime non-exempt)
About the Position
The Special Events Coordinator will assist the Special Events Manager in executing special events during the 2024 Seattle International Film Festival. The role requires assisting with event set-up, managing volunteers, and coordinating logistics.
Job Description
- Recruit, schedule, and manage volunteers for general event duties and specialized teams via Shiftboard
- Draft and edit event invites, ensuring accurate information
- Execute event set-up/strike of all special events, including parties, galas, filmmaker dinners, happy hours, etc.
- Work with the Special Events Manager to create distribution plans for each event
- Supervise event check-in at appropriate events
- Manage swag procurement and sponsor presence fulfillment
- Coordinate deliveries and pick-ups of products and supplies as needed
- Maintain organized and inventoried event storage spaces pre, during, and post Festival
- Support various projects across teams as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience in coordinating events or festivals required
- 2-3 years Volunteer and/or staff management experience strongly preferred
- 1-2 years Experience using Shiftboard preferred
- 1-2 years experience in G Suite required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
