Job Title: Lead Network Planning Engineer

At L3Harris, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Network Planning Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our network engineering team, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of network infrastructure to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of network infrastructure to meet customer needs
  • Evaluate vendor products and recommend purchases consistent with organizational objectives
  • Recommend and implement network policies and procedures to ensure security and compliance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve medium to complex network issues
  • Provide Tier II support for staff and may require after-hours, phone, or on-site support
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, or
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, or
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years prior related experience
  • DoD M IAT Level 2 certification (e.g. Security + CE, SSCP)
  • Active TS/SCI with active CI Poly
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • DoD M IAT Level 3 certification (e.g. CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH)
  • Familiar with Windows Server/Windows 10 or higher/RHEL 8
  • Proficient in WAN optimization and QOS
  • Demonstrated knowledge of routing protocols (e.g. EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, and Multicast)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of LAN Switching concepts (e.g. Spanning tree, 802.1q, VTP, bridging concepts, virtual switching)
