We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist II to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As a key member of our Environmental, Health, and Safety team, you will be responsible for fostering a comprehensive safety program throughout our Portland Large Parts Campus.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement an effective safety performance tracking and measurement system, collaborating with management and departments to interpret results and effects of corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents at multiple sites, audit safety programs, procedures, practices, and activities that support business goals and objectives.
- Lead the review of all incidents and concern reports, ensuring effective operations record keeping and OSHA document compliance.
- Discuss complaints and suggestions received in writing relating to safety conditions with affected supervision.
- By observation of physical conditions and work practices, detect lack of conformity with the Loss Control Program and drive corrective action with supervision.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 4-6 years of related and progressively more complex experience.
- Required transportation with a valid Driver's License.
- Preferred Certifications or knowledge: OSHA 30, HAZWOPER 40, Hazard Identification, Hot-work knowledge, Confined space rescue or supervisor certification, Chemical Safety, Ergonomics, Emergency Response, Root Cause Methodologies, Industrial Hygiene.
