Environmental Field Specialist II Position Summary:

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and responsible management of hazardous waste. Your primary responsibilities will include acting as a Waste Technician for customer-site work, coordinating the performance of subcontractors, and understanding and applying RCRA, DOT, and EPA regulations as they relate to the packing, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in a safe manner, striving for zero incidents or accidents.
  • Understand and comply with all rules and regulations specific to customer sites, aligning with company policies, rules, and guidelines.
  • Prepare or confirm the accuracy of all paperwork associated with shipping hazardous waste.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits.
  • Consolidate non-hazardous and class 2 waste for roll-off.
  • Arrange for samples and profiles to be submitted to TSDF, coordinate expired profile programs.
  • Comply with all company policies, rules, and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Function-specific training and required customer-site specific training, if applicable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate-level proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to classify waste according to RCRA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • Ability to learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate an industrial powered lift truck or forklift according to company procedures and governmental regulations.
