Linux System Administration Professional

We are seeking an experienced Linux System Administration Professional to join our team at the University of Washington. As a key member of our Research Cyberinfrastructure group, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating Linux-based HPC clusters and storage systems.
With a strong background in Linux system administration, you will work closely with researchers across campus to provide cost-effective yet powerful computing options that unlock new possibilities for their research.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to interface with other UW-IT teams as well as research customers, providing expertise and support to various endeavors. Your expertise in process automation, software development, and Linux system administration will be invaluable in this position.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Linux system administration. Knowledge of containerization platforms, HPC schedulers, and proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Bash, Golang, or Python is highly desirable.
Salary: $8,090 - $11,916 per month. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, generous paid time off, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
