Job Title: High Speed Analog Design Engineer

Lightmatter is seeking a highly skilled High Speed Analog Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our analog team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-speed analog circuits and mixed-signal blocks.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-speed analog circuits and mixed-signal blocks
  • Collaborate with chip architects to support micro-architecture development
  • Work with members of our design engineering teams to define electrical requirements
  • Design and document analog/mixed-signal blocks with a focus on transceivers (TIA, TX Driver) and broadband circuits interfacing with silicon photonics elements
  • Run post-layout and mixed-signal top-level simulations to validate integration
  • Define production and bench-level test plans
  • Validate performances of the circuits in the lab
Requirements:
  • MS with 3+ years of industry experience, OR Ph.D. with 5+ years of industry experience
  • Experience designing Analog-Front-End blocks such as trans-impedance amplifiers (TIA) and Tx Driver
  • Experience with Tx/Rx equalization techniques and circuits
  • Experience with testing and validating high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuits
  • Familiarity with SERDES architectures, and implementations
  • Solid understanding of CMOS device characteristics, noise, mismatch, linearity, and design trade-offs
  • Experience with Cadence Design Environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of 3D Electro-Magnetic (EM) simulation tools
  • Experience interfacing with silicon photonic Mach-Zehnder modulators
  • Successful track record in delivering analog/mixed-signal IPs with 1st-time success while meeting tight schedules
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people across multiple functional areas
