Job DescriptionPosition: Metal Finishing Specialist

As a Metal Finishing Specialist, you will be responsible for enhancing product surfaces through various finishing techniques such as grinding, deburring, filing, sanding, and polishing to meet the specified quality standards.

Your role will involve operating tools and equipment including straight-liners, hand grinders, and finishing tumblers, while working with materials like carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting product surfaces for imperfections and performing necessary repairs.
  • Utilizing blueprints to guide your work processes.
  • Operating an Apex belt and brush sander effectively.
  • Managing straighteners of both 8 ft. and 4 ft. lengths.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in grinding, deburring, filing, sanding, and polishing.
  • Experience with straight-liner and hand grinders.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Familiarity with finishing equipment and tumblers.
  • Capability to operate Apex belt and brush sanders.
  • Experience with 8 ft. and 4 ft. straighteners.

Work Environment:

You will be working in a spacious sheet metal shop alongside a team of 35 employees, equipped with modern fabrication machinery, all within a vibrant blue-collar culture.
