Job Description

Our client, a leading global manufacturing company in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inventory Cycle Counter to join their team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory records. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing assigned inventory through regular cycle counting and ensuring that all materials are accurately reflected in the company's ERP system. This position plays a critical role in supporting overall inventory accuracy, reducing operational costs, and preventing disruptions in production due to stock discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counting of inventory to ensure accuracy and consistency in inventory records.
  • Analyze and investigate discrepancies, implementing corrective actions to maintain system accuracy.
  • Maintain the integrity of the ERP system by accurately reporting production, scrap, receiving, and inventory data.
  • Develop and monitor inventory KPIs to track accuracy, stock aging, and overall system health.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations to identify and resolve inventory issues, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Manage internal processes for materials rejection and returns, ensuring proper and efficient disposition.
  • Proactively verify the availability of materials needed to meet daily production schedules, focusing on inventory position, lot expiration, and quality status.
  • Maintain a minimum of 98% accuracy in the ERP system for Finished Goods, Work-In-Progress (WIP), Components, and Raw Materials.
  • Track inventory targets and drive improvement initiatives across various departments.
Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in materials and inventory coordination
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain strategies, including total delivery cost, profitability, inventory turns, and service levels.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve inventory issues.
  • Proficiency in developing and monitoring KPIs related to inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly with warehouse and operations teams.
