About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Product Stewardship Specialist to join our team at Sherwin-Williams. As a key member of our Regulatory Compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our raw material data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Regulatory Assessment of Raw Materials and Finished Goods
    • Learn and apply applicable regulations to ensure compliance
    • Complete raw material regulatory reviews and update relevant data in our IT systems
    • Ensure accurate and complete data is integrated into our regulatory systems
    • Assign and classify new code requests by chemical composition and associated hazards
    • Confirm and maintain raw material chemical, physical, health, and environmental data
    • Ensure all documentation is provided and electronically stored
    • Support AP/Outside Buy/Blending Facility requests and work with the Product Data team to provide timely turnaround to customers
    • Perform regulatory reviews of existing RM code requests via a Shared Spreadsheet and Mateval inbox
    • Assist with implementation of any upcoming acquisitions
  • Customer Support
    • Respond to internal customer inquiries on routine issues
    • Consult with team members to ensure understanding of potential issues
    • Utilize chemical and raw material knowledge to provide support to other Regulatory/GPS Groups
    • Support raw material questions/issues from SW labs and manufacturing facilities
Requirements
  • Formal Education
    • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge and Experience
    • Knowledge of regulations
    • 2 years' experience in a related function
    • Science degree
  • Technical/Skill Requirements
    • Attention to detail
    • Use of variety of IT applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Paint & Coatings or Chemical Industry
  • Use of HEARS, PV, or RMDM tools
