Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at Riverside Health System. As a Women's Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing the medication needs of our patients, particularly in the neonatal population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and perform compounding, packaging, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals according to prescription, physician order, or floor stock request.
  • Review, validate, and assess patient-specific medication orders to ensure appropriate dosage and therapy.
  • Monitor patient profiles to assure safe medication practices and compliance with state and federal law and regulation.
  • Establish an environment of safety and assure safe practices for the patient.
  • Responsible for all core clinical pharmacy programs and commitment to evidence-based patient care.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral Degree, Pharmacy (Required)
  • 1 year Prior pharmacy experience in area of practice related to the position (Preferred)
  • 1 year PGY1 Residency (Preferred)
  • Licensed Pharmacist - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) within 30 Days (Required)
