Land Acquisition Manager

Lennar is seeking a skilled Land Acquisition Manager to assist in the acquisition of land, lots, and development opportunities that align with the company's strategic objectives and market trends in land development and homebuilding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax maps and real estate market data to identify potential land acquisition targets.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Land to facilitate due diligence processes and ensure timely completion of contracted projects.
  • Participate in weekly land acquisition meetings to update the team on potential deals and provide market insights.
  • Assist in rezoning processes, attend meetings with government officials, engineers, and landowners to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory reports, critical dates, contract summaries, and periodic market analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Network with other builders and developers to stay informed about market trends and opportunities.
  • Assist in negotiating terms and specifics of purchase and sale agreements, working closely with the company's attorney to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Update the 5-year plan monthly and provide weekly contract status reports to the division.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business administration, engineering, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling, and data management.
  • Strong knowledge of sales and negotiating principles, as well as real estate market trends and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Valid auto insurance coverage.
