Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team at HVAC Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch HVAC service to our customers in the Southern Maine market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, identifying the root causes of problems and proposing effective solutions.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as compressors, motors, fans, and thermostats.
  • Perform refrigerant handling and recovery in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct system performance tests and adjustments to achieve energy efficiency and comfort.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and service performed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures to clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HVAC industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects and assignments.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Participate in on-call or emergency service rotation as required.
  • Continuously improve technical skills through training and certification programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Gas certification preferred.
  • EPA certification.
  • Oil certification is a plus.
  • Must be willing to work week-long On-Call 4 times a year.
  • Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds and comfortably work on and set up ladders.
  • Ability to interact with customers, explain work performed, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with co-workers in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have a driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Background checks are conducted upon onboarding.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
