Position Overview

The Warehouse Operations Specialist will be tasked with various responsibilities including the picking and staging of customer orders at the shipping dock, ensuring accuracy through counting and cross-checking all staged orders for subsequent delivery. The role also involves replenishing warehouse picking locations and maintaining cleanliness within the warehouse and individual picking areas. Proficiency in utilizing the Oracle order processing system is essential for timely location and processing of daily replenishments in preparation for order fulfillment. The Specialist must demonstrate the ability to work independently and proactively, while effectively communicating any significant customer service or system issues to management. Collaboration with receiving personnel is also necessary for processing reimbursements, third-party receipts, and quarantine loads within the Oracle system. The Specialist will be qualified to assist in the Returns department as needed and will be responsible for troubleshooting issues related to the Oracle order processing system. Additionally, the Specialist will conduct daily inventory cycle counting duties and perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a team-oriented environment to pick, prepare, and palletize finished goods for shipment.

• Operate forklifts or other necessary equipment for material movement within the distribution center, completing daily vehicle inspection reports prior to operation and ensuring proper vehicle charging post-use. Routine preventative maintenance may also be required.

• Receive daily tasks from floor supervisors or coordinators.

• Load and unload trailers while verifying order accuracy.

• During picking, retrieve products from stock, confirming list numbers, lot numbers, and counts to ensure proper order processing for shipment via various carriers.

• Palletize shipments after identifying specific customers and verifying orders, attaching packing lists and performing cross-checks as necessary.

• Pick, check, overpack, consolidate, and process parcel cases as required.

• Verify the accuracy of received shipments, determine product locations, and place products into available storage locations.

• Replenish pick locations based on daily reports and assignments from the Inventory Supervisor.

• Conduct daily cycle counts and report any discrepancies to the Inventory Supervisor or Coordinator.

• Qualify to process returns in the Returns department as needed, especially during high volume periods.

• Possess strong knowledge of Oracle transactions for product lookups, subinventory moves, receipts, and replenishments, as well as the ability to run discoverer reports.

• Adhere to all good manufacturing practices, Food and Drug guidelines, and Drug Enforcement Laws.

• Perform general housekeeping duties as required.

• Participate in designated team activities (e.g., Safety, 5S, Lean, etc.)

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to work with minimal supervision.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Current forklift certification is mandatory; stand-up forklift certification is preferred.

• Certification for motorized (electric) pallet jacks is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in warehousing is necessary.

• Experience with Oracle systems is preferred.

Minimum Requirements

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Travel Requirements

• Travel is typically less than 5% of the time.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Regularly required to communicate effectively.

• Must work safely around heavy equipment in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. is required.
