Your Role

The Solutions Consultant Manager represents a modern evolution of the Sales Engineer Manager position, focusing on leading teams to effectively assist our clients in comprehending their cybersecurity landscape, offering solution insights, and guaranteeing the realization of value from their investments in Palo Alto Networks.

As the Solutions Consultant Manager, you will serve as the technical authority for your District Solutions Consulting team. Collaborating closely with the District Sales Manager, you and your team will cultivate relationships with clients, aiming to help them identify and thwart advanced cyber threats. Your expertise will guide customers in selecting the right applications from our platform, ensuring they remain ahead of emerging cyber threats.

Your Contributions

  • Recruit and onboard top-tier Solutions Consultants for your territory.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for your team, fostering their professional growth.
  • Assist the field Solutions Consultant team in navigating complex evaluations and challenging client scenarios.
  • Lead and coach your team on effective technical validation strategies to secure wins in assigned opportunities.
  • Develop and monitor personalized development plans for team members.
  • Collaborate with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams to ensure seamless customer implementation and solution adoption.
  • Deliver impactful technical leadership during customer engagements, sharing security trends and best practices.
  • Drive platformization initiatives within your accounts.
  • Work alongside the Domain Specialist Manager to optimize resource allocation for ongoing projects.
  • Act as a key escalation point, collaborating with pre-sales and post-sales teams to resolve any issues.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients to enhance reference accounts and support account teams in driving business growth.
  • Present as a subject matter expert to clients at all organizational levels.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and position our solutions as the superior choice.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and R&D to gather requirements and feedback from large customers.
  • Willingness to travel 50-75% within the region.
  • Partner with your sales counterpart to develop a technical strategy that accelerates growth, identifying key verticals and solutions tailored to your district.

Your Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a pre-sales System Engineer Manager.
  • Background as a Senior System Engineer or Specialist.
  • In-depth knowledge of security product market trends and an understanding of our technology roadmap.
  • Expertise in delivering comprehensive security solutions to our customer base.
  • Experience in selling, designing, implementing, or managing solutions such as Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP, and SOC Transformation Technologies.
  • Ability to partner with Customer Support to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Quota-driven mindset focused on providing the best solutions as a trusted advisor.
  • Proficiency in English.
