Job Summary

This role involves operating a truck to transport poultry between farms, as well as assisting with vaccinations and loading/unloading of birds. The ideal candidate will possess a Class A license, be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), and work effectively in adverse weather conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities

">
  • ">
  • Drive the pullet moving trucks to and from the pullet barns to the layer barns.">
  • Catch and place pullets into coops for transporting to layer barns using great caution.">
  • Unload breeding stock into layer barns using great caution.">
  • Assemble and disassemble track used in pullet moving.">

Vaccination and Load Out Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Assist in the 12 week and 17 week vaccination of pullets.">
  • Hold birds carefully for vaccination and perform precise breast or neck vaccination of breeding stock.">
  • Assist in spent hen load outs.">

Equipment Maintenance

  • ">
  • Repair breeder equipment, including vaccination guns and pullet moving equipment.">

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year
