  • Graduation from an accredited two-year or longer respiratory therapy program is preferred. Completion of a Certification or Registry program is mandatory. Minimum: NBRC certified.
  • Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in the field is required. Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Work in a standard hospital setting. Must have normal or corrected vision and a full range of hearing. Capable of operating computers, ventilators, ABG machines, oxygen delivery systems, and nebulizers. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and push/pull up to 70 lbs. Frequent activities include sitting, standing, and walking.

  • JOB SUMMARY
  • Accountable for staff assignments during the designated shift. Coordinates patient care and addresses staffing requirements. Aids the manager in overseeing blood gas laboratory maintenance and quality control processes. Responsible for the orientation and training of new employees and conducting monthly evaluations of assigned staff. When available, may perform various additional responsibilities, including ventilator management, arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, EKGs, and other therapeutic interventions as necessary.
