Key Responsibilities
  • Assign Priority and Select Technicians: Assign priority to each vehicle Repair Order and select the appropriate Technician to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
  • Oversee Shop Workflow: Oversee the daily operations of the truck service department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Arrange Contract Repairs: Arrange contract repairs when work cannot be performed internally, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.
  • Inspect Completed Work: Inspect completed work and documentation to ensure that it meets our high standards.
  • Provide Training and Mentoring: Provide training and mentoring to new employees to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Monitor Safety Compliance: Monitor the workspace and employees for Safety compliance, ensuring that our shop is a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
  • Communicate with Customers: Communicate with customers to ensure that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the service they receive.
  • Attend Work Regularly: Maintain regular and dependable attendance, including working full shifts and days scheduled (45 hours a week).
Requirements
  • Previous Supervisory Experience: Previous supervisory experience in Truck Service is preferred.
  • Experience with Proceed or Other Heavy-Duty Truck DMS: Experience with Proceed or other Heavy-Duty Truck DMS is required.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Highly effective verbal and written communications are essential for this role.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor are required.
  • Education and Computer Skills: An AA degree, technical school degree, or 4 years of related experience is preferred. Computer skills to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and Repair Order Processing are also required.
