Job Overview

TagStaff is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our survey team, you will be responsible for coordinating and directing survey project team members to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate projects with multiple team members, including other business units.
  • Provide guidance and direction to surveying technicians.
  • Prepare boundary and topographic survey plans and agreements.
  • Perform survey computations and boundary resolution for boundary and ALTA surveys, and topographic surveys.
  • Prepare construction layout and as-built surveys, right-of-way surveys, and various other project types.

Requirements:

  • NY Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, or ability to obtain within one year.
  • 5+ years of professional surveying experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with mapping software (Civil 3D, Carlson, Inroads, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret design/construction plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and project teams.
  • Develop project scope and fee estimating.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain a current driver's license in good standing and able to operate company-owned vehicles.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Work independently.
