Job Summary

The Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation is seeking a highly skilled Correctional Lieutenant to serve as a Tactical Response Coordinator. This is a critical role that requires expertise in security operations, training, and program development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs for Alarm Response (Riot Control) teams
  • Coordinate with the Office of Correctional Safety to ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to institutional staff on security operations and program development
  • Participate in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) security initiatives and law enforcement mutual aid operations
  • Travel to various locations to provide support and training
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and relevant work experience
  • Specialized knowledge of security operations, training, and program development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
