Child Care Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Teacher to provide high-quality care for children in our onsite child care program in Manchester, NH. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children aged 3-4 years old.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care at all times.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs.
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for children and their families.
  • Assist children with daily routines, including feeding, diapering, toileting, and napping.
  • Foster a positive and respectful relationship with children, parents, and staff members.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe childcare environment.
  • Observe children's behavior and development, and document any significant changes or incidents.
  • Collaborate with other childcare workers and staff to create a supportive team environment.
Qualifications:
  • College degree in early childhood education preferred, ECE credits required for teachers.
  • Ability to pass a background check and health screening.
  • ProSolutions trainings required.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain patient, calm, and positive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry children and equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Comfortable with frequent interaction and engagement with young children.
