About the Role

Catholic Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Assistant to join our team at St. Peter's Home Day Care Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with lead and associate teachers to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols to ensure a safe space for children.
  • Assist teachers in managing classroom behaviors through effective guidance techniques, such as redirection, positive reinforcement, and logical consequences.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive work environment, modeling healthy interactions and seeking guidance from administration when needed.
  • Monitor and ensure that child-to-teacher ratios adhere to state guidelines, reporting any concerns to administration in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • Exhibit enthusiasm and a genuine interest in contributing to the growth and development of young minds.
