Job Title: Senior Construction Superintendent

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Superintendent to join our Projects Team in Oak Ridge, TN.

This is a local candidate only position, with no per diem available.

Clearance: Active DOE L or Q security clearance is preferred, but not required.

Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required.

Qualifications:

  • 7 years' experience supervising craft and subcontractors during the performance of work related to industrial construction and services.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience maintaining job schedule using Primavera or equal.
  • DOE project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:

Interprets, organizes, and coordinates work assignments.

Responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility.

May be the primary client contact for all job-site activities, or may coordinate with client's resident representatives on job-site activities within assigned area of operations.

Responsibilities include ensuring assigned job-site operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

Provides technical and administrative direction to superintendents, construction engineers, coordinators, administrators, and others, as assigned.

Responsible for job-site operations, as assigned, including all onsite activities of subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives, and others as may be assigned within area of responsibility.

Approves the layout of temporary construction facilities for the project.

Responsible for the field organization to ensure the job-site organization is composed of qualified and knowledgeable personnel, and ensures effective personnel utilization.

Monitors General Foreman/Foreman and Foreman/Worker ratios on the project.

Ensures that craft work on the project is effectively using project automation tools.

Establishes, coordinates, and implements construction schedules, manning charts, material, and equipment requirements.

Sets and meets project cost and schedule targets.

Coordinates multi-discipline craft activities within a specific area of the project, or all related crafts of a single discipline covering one or more areas of the project.

Coordinates and directs, as assigned, all construction activities of the project.

Provides on-site representation to client personnel.
