Fire Alarm Systems Lead

EMCOR Government Services is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Lead to serve as the lead technician for all fire alarm equipment and systems at National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) facilities. This position is responsible for the overall management, operation, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
Key Responsibilities- Fire Alarm System Management: Serves as the principal technician responsible for the overall management, operation, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm and fire suppression systems at all NGA Washington facilities and grounds.
- Supervision and Guidance: Supervises and advises technicians in troubleshooting and resolving fire alarm and fire suppression system malfunctions.
- Preventive Maintenance: Ensures all preventive maintenance and repairs performed on fire alarm and fire suppression systems and components are compliant with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.
- System Optimization: Supports overall management of fire alarm and fire suppression systems to ensure capability is in balance with known and/or future demand requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Oversees the timely application of Government and local regulations, codes, standards, policies, and procedures related to NGA fire alarm and fire suppression systems operations and management.
- Customer Relationship Management: Establishes and maintains an effective relationship with the customer to achieve a mutually beneficial business relationship.
- Process Improvement: Recommends ways to improve the full spectrum of fire alarm and fire suppression systems operations and services delivery process to ensure high-quality goods and services are delivered on time and within cost.
- Documentation and Analysis: Keeps accurate documentation and performs analysis of activities and processes to improve contract performance.
- Feedback and Communication: Pro-actively seeks feedback from clients, attends meetings, submits reports, and assists both internal and external auditors and inspectors.
- Security Clearance: Current Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
- Certification: National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Fire Alarm Systems Level II Certification.
- Experience: At least 7 years of proven experience in testing, commissioning, and repairing fire alarm systems, sprinkler wet and dry systems, and related equipment.
- Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in applicable NFPA code compliance, documenting changes, and implementing new system functionality. Strong technical knowledge of facilities maintenance and operations, including complex electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and associated control systems. Highly developed leadership, management, supervisory, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
