Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm Lead to oversee the management and maintenance of fire alarm systems at our government facilities. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire alarm operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technician responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of fire alarm and suppression systems.
- Guide and mentor technicians in diagnosing and resolving issues related to fire alarm systems.
- Ensure that all maintenance and repairs adhere to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.
- Support the management of fire alarm systems to align with current and future operational demands.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards related to fire safety systems.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and communicate performance standards to the team.
- Foster effective relationships with clients to promote a successful partnership.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of fire alarm services.
- Maintain accurate records and conduct analyses to improve service delivery.
- Engage with clients for feedback and assist in audits and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in Fire Alarm Systems at Level II.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in:
- Testing and commissioning of fire alarm systems.
- Maintenance and repair of sprinkler systems.
- Strong understanding of NFPA codes and compliance documentation.
- Experience in operating systems for monitoring newly installed equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Extensive knowledge of facilities maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience managing diverse teams.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure and manage personnel effectively.
- Experience working with labor unions and service employees under applicable regulations.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- Familiarity with ARCHIBUS Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is preferred.
