Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm Lead to oversee all fire alarm systems and equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire alarm operations across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technician responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of fire alarm and suppression systems.
- Guide and support technicians in diagnosing and resolving issues related to fire alarm systems.
- Ensure that all maintenance and repairs adhere to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.
- Manage fire alarm systems to align with current and future operational demands.
- Implement and oversee compliance with government regulations and standards related to fire safety systems.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate performance standards effectively.
- Foster strong relationships with customers to ensure a productive partnership.
- Recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of fire alarm services.
- Maintain accurate documentation and analyze processes to boost contract performance.
- Proactively engage with clients, attend relevant meetings, and assist with audits and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a current Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
- National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Fire Alarm Systems Level II Certification is required.
- A minimum of 7 years experience in:
- Testing and commissioning of fire alarm systems.
- Maintenance and repair of sprinkler systems.
- In-depth knowledge of NFPA code compliance and system functionality.
- Experience in interpreting blueprints and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of facilities maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience managing diverse teams.
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Experience in managing personnel and working with labor unions.
- A valid Driver's License is required.
- Familiarity with ARCHIBUS Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a plus.
