Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at Allied Universal. As a Financial Center Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, detecting and reporting suspicious activities, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality security services to protect people and property.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons.
  • Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
  • Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
  • Monitor closed-circuit television systems and alarms.
  • Maintain awareness and familiarity with site-specific operations performance manual and post orders.
  • Meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers and specific protective device and weapons qualifications.
  • Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with client employees and guests.
  • Answer questions and assist guests and employees in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; at least 21 years of age.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Be able to obtain a valid Guard License as required in the state for which you are applying.
  • Current state driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to safely operate a vehicle.
  • Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and prioritize multiple competing assignments.
  • Ability to handle both common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
  • Must possess effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology.
  • Highly organized and ability to follow procedures concisely and consistently.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Regularly required to use both hands, stand, sit, stoop, talk, and hear.
  • Constantly walk, stand, reach with both hands and arms, and must be able to drive a vehicle.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Work in various environments, including adverse outdoor conditions.
  • Must be able to focus and multi-task in a busy environment.
