About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' facilities and personnel.
Responsibilities- Access Control: Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring that only authorized personnel enter the premises.
- Visitor Processing: Process visitors for entry into the facility, verifying their identity and purpose.
- Inspections and Screenings: Conduct regular inspections and screenings of the facility and its surroundings to identify potential security threats.
- Patrol and Response: Patrol the facility and respond to any security incidents or alarms in a timely and professional manner.
- Traffic Direction: Direct traffic and ensure that it flows smoothly and safely.
- Security Systems Monitoring: Monitor and operate security and safety systems, including cameras and alarms.
- Incident Reporting: Report any incidents or security breaches to management and complete incident reports as required.
- Citizenship: Be a Citizen of the United States.
- Driver's License: Possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Age: Be a minimum of 21 years of age or older.
- Education: Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Experience: Any combination of two years of experience in physical security (as a security officer - armed or unarmed).
- Education (Preferred): Associate degree in a Security or Law Enforcement related field, or Successful completion of a police officer's basic training academy.
- Competitive Pay: Competitive pay starting at $50.00 an hour.

The job operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors. The position requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities.
