Fire Life Safety Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Life Safety Director to join our team at Quality Building Services. As a Fire Life Safety Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our staff and visitors in our class A office buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Fire Alarm and Elevator System Monitoring: Monitor and operate the fire alarm and elevator system panels, serving as the primary point of contact for first responders in case of emergencies.
- Incident Response: Evaluate incidents and take appropriate action, making clear and articulate public-address announcements as required.
- Facility Safety Inspections: Perform regular safety inspections and testing, including monthly fire extinguisher and elevator fire service checks.
- Drill Planning: Plan and conduct fire and non-fire drills as per code, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Team Management: Update floor wardens and brigade teams as needed, and assist with security officer coverage as required.
- Access Control: Monitor access control systems, including turnstiles, cameras, and loading dock, and screen visitors, guests, contractors, and delivery personnel.
- Reporting: Prepare incident reports and escalate serious issues to management as per protocol.

- NYS Security Guard License

The position requires the ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and/or during emergency situations, such as natural disasters, public health emergencies, government-declared states of emergency, labor strikes, and force majeure events. Accessibility to answer questions by email or phone during off hours in accordance with our policies is expected.
